Sharing is caring!

If you are looking for a Palm Beach wedding photographer,  check out this elegant wedding from the Four Seasons.

I’m thrilled that Jillian and David chose me as their Palm Beach wedding photographer.  It’s always a treat when I get to work at the Four Seasons in Palm Beach because I consider it one of the most beautiful venues in South Florida.

When I asked Jillian why she and David selected the Four Seasons for their wedding Palm Beach, she explained that her sister had married there 6 years ago and had a fabulous experience. Her parents live locally and they knew they were going to have a South Florida wedding.  They definitely wanted a beach hotel because over half of their wedding guests were out-of-towners.  While Jillian and David did visit several Palm Beach venues, they knew right away that the Four Seasons was the right choice for them. As Jillian explained, the Four Seasons Palm Beach is beautiful, modern yet classic with fantastic service and amazing food. She felt they couldn’t go wrong – and they didn’t!

Bride getting ready for her Palm Beach Wedding.
The wedding day photography started off with a getting ready photo session. When I arrived the bridal suite was ready with the bridal gown hanging. All the bridesmaids had special robes make just for this special day.

Being a South Florida wedding photographer, I love shooting in Palm Beach.  If you are recently engaged and looking for a wedding wedding venue in a luxury resort town, then check out the hotels in Palm Beach.

Wedding detail shots showing the bride's shoes, earrings, flowers and gown.
There was a lot to photograph inside the bridal suite. The detailed parts of the bride Sarah Nouri wedding dress were really fun to capture.

My advise is to spend a day and visit all the beautiful hotels that Palm Beach has to offer.  There is no question that the Four Seasons is a great, beautiful wedding venue.  However, if you are planning a wedding in Palm Beach, you should also check out, the Eau Palm Beach, The Breakers, Palm Beach, The Brazilian Court, and the Tideline Ocean Resort and Spa.

Groom and each groomsman pictures.
Groom and each guy photos is standard for pre-wedding Palm Beach wedding photography. When I photograph the groomsmen, I shoot one set of casual photos and one set of fun pictures. It’s helpful and looks better when the guys are into being photographed.

The ceremony room looked perfect thanks to the help of Xquisite Events

Jillian was extremely involved in all aspects of her wedding plans. As an event planner in New York for a non-profit organization called the Foundation for Jewish Camp, she has more knowledge than most when it comes to planning large and fabulous events. As Jillian and David live in Jersey City, NJ and most of their friends live in New York, this truly was a destination wedding for their friends.

All the above hotels are located on the beach and offer an amazing experience for anyone looking for a wedding vacation getaway.  Honestly, for me photographing at any of these hotels will result in you receiving a ton of beautiful creative pictures.

Sepia wedding pictures taken at the Four Seasons in Palm Beach.
One way I make my wedding pictures more creative is to include a mix of black and white and sepia wedding pictures along with all the color pictures.

ABOVE: The pictures above have a sepia toned look to them, however they are actually split toned.  Split toned pictures are sepia with a slight blue tone in the shadows.  At a glance they look like straight sepia.  If you look closer you can see slight blue tone mixed into the dark areas.

This wedding in Palm Beach included a touch of luxury.
After the ceremony we spend some time taking creative bride and groom pictures around the hotel. Usually I shoot the bride and groom pictures before I do the family pictures. However, I’ll often take additional pictures during the cocktail hour.

This spectacular wedding featured several shades of metallic silver in the bridesmaid/mother of bride dresses to silver linens as well as champagne menu cards, programs and other details. The bride also wanted a really organic look. This was achieved through the use of branches in the chuppah, to the birch, driftwood and succulents as the centerpieces. All of these ideas were brilliantly brought to life and executed to perfection through the artistic talents of Xquisite Events. The party was rocking all night thanks to the musical talents of Heatwave. Jillian was beaming on her wedding day in a magnificent Vera Wang gown with a belt by Sareh Nouri and finished with sparkling Jimmy Choo shoes.

BELOW: Most people who hire me to photograph their South Florida wedding take a package that includes an album. As a way of making the album more interesting I shoot a variety of background images.  These images are taken from close ups of the flowers, table coverings, flowers, even part of the bride’s wedding gown could make a nice background.  Thinking ahead makes the album design process go smoother because I can enhance the album page.  Below is a sample album page that incorporates the reception decor.  For more on wedding albums check out this article I wrote.  Wedding album article.  By the way we offer a complete wedding album design service.  If you already got married and never made an album, or if the photographer you hired doesn’t offer wedding albums, we could make one for you.

Xquisite events did an amazing job with these flowers. The combination of flowers and candles made this ballroom look romantic and picture perfect.

It’s important that all the wedding details are included in the photography. Being a photographer means that you need to be skilled at photographing all the tiny details and the people pictures, Notice how I used another piece of wedding related fabric for the background.

Jillian and David met 3-1/2 years ago at their mutual friend’s apartment in New York. David had recently been accepted to Michigan Business School and on the night they first met, he was ready to celebrate and grab some drinks with friends. Jillian had been babysitting that night and not in the mood to go out. Her friend convinced her it was a good idea and out she went! Finally, at the end of the part at their friend’s apartment, David and Jillian caught each other’s eyes and started talking. The conversation continued at a bar in Manhattan called Irving Mill and they ended up dancing the night away and as Jillian said, the rest is history!

Creative ballroom decor pictures taken at a South Florida wedding.
When being creative I always remember that the pictures don’t need to be taken from a standard angle. The picture on the right was taken with a giant selfie stick. Sometimes I’m shooting from a low angle, other times a high angle like the photo here.
Wedding pictures from the bride and groom posing with the band.
At this wedding in Palm Beach, I made sure to incorporate lots of pictures with the band. The band plays such a large part of the bride and grooms wedding reception, I feel that it’s only right to include the band in the picture. In this care the band was the famous Heatwave.

In addition to photographing weddings and events, I also have a knack for food photography. In food photography there is a lighting concept called “Appetite Appeal” Believe it or not I photograph could trigger a human hunger response by getting the light to roll over the food.  When the lighting creates highlights and shadows the visual hunger response is triggered.  Here is an interesting article on the topic.  Eating with your eyes. An interesting read.

As a Palm Beach wedding photographer, I always love learning as much as possible about the brides and grooms whose weddings I photograph. Each has a unique story to tell and often much of their personality shows through in the look and feel of their special day. Jillian and David were a wonderful couple to photograph and I hope that the photos posted here will help you get a good feel for the job and excitement of their incredible destination wedding at the Four Seasons Palm Beach.    There is no question that Palm Beach is a very special place.  While there are fewer hotels located in Palm Beach, the venues in an around Palm Beach are the most beautiful around.  If you are planning a wedding in Palm Beach and would like to see more Palm Beach wedding venue pictures, check out some of these links:   Emily and Rich at The Breakers.  If you are not familiar with the Breakers in Palm Beach, looking at these wedding pictures from the Breakers will certainly be visually stimulating.   Another awesome wedding venue on Palm Beach is the Eau.  To see pictures from the Eau click this link:  The perfect place to say I Do.
