Working as a Bat / Bar Mitzvah photographer in South Florida, my goal is to produce a wide range of images that are unique, unusual and attention getting. In order to achieve this I employ a wide range of alternative photography techniques. The Bat Mitzvah photo in this article was created by using what is known as cross processing. Cross processing is the process of shooting an image using negative film and then processing the film in slide processing chemistry. Shooting slide film and then processing in negative processing chemistry is another form of cross processing as well. As a photographer one of my main goals is to be as creative as possible. There are many different ways to be creative when creating Bat Mitzvah images.
Even though a Bat Mitzvah photographer may have several different options for creating unique looking images one simple rule must be followed. The basic photography behind the creative aspect of a photo must be solid. This means that an image should be sharp or in focus. The exposure must be accurate, the composition should be thought out, and the posing should look pleasing. Taking any random photo and simply throwing a filter over a badly composed image isn't the way to achieve quality imagery. I have been a Bat / Bar Mitzvah photographer for well over twenty years and over those years I have learned that there are several criteria that must be met in order to have a happy client. Even though a photographer may think a specific image is fantastic and creative, not everyone will love it. Art is very subjective, what one person loves, another person hates. Because of this I always shoot my images so that clients get a choice. A Bat Mitzvah child my love a cross processed image, however the parents my desire a normal looking color photo. I see this with wedding photography all the time. Often our photography packages will include both a main album and a parent album. A wedding couple will choose album images that are unique and creative. Often they select black and white, sepia or infrared images for their album. Then the parents choose simple color images. By delivering both the creative images and the basic "normal" images clients have a choice.
In order to have a successful Bat / Bar Mitzvah photography business you must have happy clients. While a creative photographer may be high on the list of requirements, being dependable is even more important. Sure a Bat Mitzvah photographer may get hired because the work is creative, but if the photographer can't arrive on time, or deliver the finished images as expected their reputation is going to suffer. I know plenty of photographers who can't arrive to the job on time, or deliver images on time. I recently spoke with a photographer who ran out of money and now can't deliver the clients albums. Being a successful Bat / Bat Mitzvah photographer requires a good business strategy and good money management skills.

This is another Bat / Bar Mitzvah venue that I often work at. Woodfield Country club has a very modern vibe and offers great places for creative photography as well. Sara had a wonderful Bat Mitzvah as Broken Sound Country Club in Boca Raton. Currently the club house at Broken Sound Country Club is being renovated and once it is finished there is no question that it's going to be very popular. If you are into exotic cars this one is sure to please. Another beautiful B'nai Mitzvah I recently photographed took place at Parkland Country Club. Looking at this one you can clearly see have beautiful Parkland Country Club is. Because of the size and the beautiful grounds I find that I never have enough time when working at Parkland Country Club.
