This bridal portrait was taken at the Four Seasons Hotel in Palm Beach which is just over the intercostal waterway which separates West Palm Beach from Palm Beach. I shot this portrait once the bride was finished getting into her bridal gown and was ready to see the groom for their First Look.
As we walked through the hotel hallway I kept my eye on the lighting looking for a place with nice soft even light that would work for a quick bridal portrait. Once I found the spot I shot a few quick frames. By asking her to shift her weight to her back leg and putting her hand on her hip I was able to get a quick bridal pose.
This is a example of a quick brides portrait. Often when photographing a wedding the photographer has limited time for creative photos. Because wedding are events that happen fast it's always a good idea for the photographer to make the best use of time and get photo at every possible moment. It's my goal to deliver a wide range of photographs so being able to bang our a portrait in a hotel hallway in 30 seconds is a good use of skill.
Because I'm based in Boynton Beach I often photograph weddings West Palm Beach and Palm Beach. I'm really lucky that I live so close to a town with so many wedding venues.
The Four Seasons hotel is a fantastic venue for many reasons. It's located directly on the beach and since its just over the bridge wedding guests have the choice of staying in either West Palm Beach or Palm Beach.
