You have to admit this is a really beautiful wedding ceremony set-up. This Miami wedding photo was taken at one of my favorite wedding venues in town. Just over 15 years ago I made the move from Los Angeles to South Florida. In those Fifteen years I have worked at a wide variety of South Florida wedding locations. Some of these venues have been in Miami on the beach, others have been in the Florida Keys. I have also photographed weddings at many beautiful country clubs. Although this picture was taken at a venue in Miami's South Beach I'm also going to share other venues that are scattered all over South Florida. In this Miami wedding article I'm also going to give some tips the will help a recently engaged couple find the perfect wedding venue. As a photographer in South Florida, I'm based in the town of Boynton Beach. Just a few miles South of me is Boca Raton, to my North is Palm Beach. Traveling to photograph a wedding is no problem for me. I like driving so as long as I leave plenty of extra time I'll go anyplace with in reason. This means that Miami, and parts of the Florida Keys are well within my travel range. To my north I'm happy to travel to Palm Beach, Jupiter, and Stewart. I have also photographed weddings and elopements on the west coast of South Florida. It's 65 miles across alligator alley with make getting to Marco Island, Naples and Sarasota with in my range.
This ceremony set up was at a place in South Beach called The Villa Casa Casuarina. This wedding location was actually the former home of Gianni Versace. This venue is located across the street from the beach and is famous because to Gianni's shooting on the front steps. The inside of this venue includes an amazing pool, beautiful walkways, and artwork everyplace. For a wedding photographer it's a dream location. I have been lucky to photograph many different events at the luxury hotel and wedding venue. Here are some links to other pictures which I have taken at this beautiful place. Of course the Versace Mansion isn't the only place for a Miami wedding. I have also photographed many weddings in other fantastic locations. While The Villa Casa Casuarina is located in South Beach there is also, Miami Beach which is right up the road. In addition some of the wedding venues and hotel are located directly on the beach. The Villa is located across from the beach. This means that if you are staying at Casa Casuarina and you are planning a beach outing you will need to take walk across the street to the beach. It's also not a private beach. Since South Beach is such a hot spot expect the beach to be packed with tourists. If you travel North into Miami Beach, you will find that the hotels have private beaches. One of my favorite hotels in this area is The Fontainebleau. This huge hotel is simply amazing. It's completely different when compared to the Villa Casuarina. I have worked in both places many times. I like both South Florida wedding venues but for different reasons. Another simply awesome Miami wedding venue is the Eden Roc hotel. This hotel is similar to the Fontainebleau in the sense that it's directly on the beach and also elegant and very classy. This couple had their wedding ceremony directly on the beach "Toes in the Sand." Not only did they tie the knot on the beach, they got married under a beautiful Jewish wedding canopy, referred to as a chuppah. They also hired us for video. Another wonderful place to have a Miami wedding is a luxury venue called The Palms Hotel and Spa. I have photographed numerous wedding at The Palms. This Miami Wedding hotel is also located directly on the beach. The Palms Hotel in Miami Beach has a very picturesque wedding gazebo. In the past I have shot weddings under the gazebo and on the huge sandy beach. Check out these pictures! Bride and Groom beach wedding portrait at the Palms.
