When a bride and groom hire me to photograph their Palm Beach wedding the expect me to produce a number of nicely posed and photo-journalist type wedding photos. This is important to me as well. However, in addition to shooting the standard required photos, the artist in me wants to explore new photographic possibilities. This Breakers ceremony photo was shot using a technique known as infrared photography. Infrared in unique because it doesn't see the world the same way the human eye does. In infrared wedding photography the image sensor is sensitive to heat as well as light. This creates a very unusual looking wedding image. Infrared wedding photography is just one of many different techniques I use to create unusual wedding photographs. Adding some more unique and interesting looking images to your wedding album is a good way to spice up your album. Look at it like adding salt to your food. Some salt is great. It brings out flavor, However, too much and you food is ruined.
