I can't help but smile when I receive a phone call or e-mail from a couple who is planning a wedding at The Polo Club of Boca Raton. There are so many reasons why the thoughts of a Polo Club wedding brings a smile to my face. It may be a matter of the grounds and landscaping at the Polo club are so beautiful. Maybe I'm smiling because I'm imagining taking pictures at the picturesque pond behind the clubhouse. Or maybe I'm visualizing what kind of flowers will be used in the venues awesome ballroom? I certainly know the wedding ceremony will be beautiful. I know all wedding guests will all be smiling during the cocktail hour, I mean how could they not smile when they get to taste all the awesome appetizers and finger food that is always served by the Polo Club of Boca Raton's staff. I also know I'm going to get some amazing action dance photos in the club's huge ballroom!
This photo was taken in the walkway leading up to the giant clubhouse glass doors. When I arrived to photograph this wedding and I saw the flowers being set up, and the huge stage for the band, I knew this would be one awesome wedding. The very second the bride was dressed and ready for the first look I felt the rush of creativity because there are some many great places to take wedding pictures at the Polo Club of Boca Raton. I decided to set up the bride and grooms first look in the lobby because I know the lighting from the big windows and skylights is alway results in nice soft even lighting. Once the bride and groom got to see each other, we darted outside for bride and groom posed pictures. For this shot I had the bride and groom do a walking shot for the camera. The bride held a piece of the veil in her left hand and by moving her hand I was able to the the veil to blow behind her.
