Indian Wedding at Parkland Country Club.

Indian wedding at Parkland Country Club.

Indian weddings are so much fun to photograph! I just love to colorful outfits and all the Indian traditional events. What could be more fun than photographing an Indian Wedding in South Florida? How about shooting an Indian Wedding at Parkland Country Club?

This photo was taken after the bride and grooms first look. When I create a Indian wedding timeline I often try to leave at least one hour to take bride and groom pictures. This way I get to spend time shooting extra creative pictures with out the distraction of others around. Because there are so many great photo spots in and around Parkland Country Club that one hour photo shoot goes by real fast. The area around the main clubhouse is loaded with lush landscaping and beautiful vintage style buildings that make perfect backgrounds for bride and groom scenic pictures. The very second you drive up to the main gate it's easy to tell that there are virtually unlimited photo spots. At the front of the country club is a beautiful lake with a very pretty waterfall and the most incredible structures. When you add an Indian wedding to the beautiful scenery at Parkland Country Club you have to making of a truly special event. Unlike traditional weddings, Indian weddings have the added elements of colorful cloths and multi day events. A Indian wedding is often divided into several parts that take place over several days These events take place before the wedding day, on the wedding day and after the wedding day. The day before the wedding day the bride and groom attend an event called the Sangeet. The Sangeet is a more casual party type event where henna paint is applied to the hands of the bride and the female wedding guests.

The next day is the actual wedding day. The wedding ceremony is a long ceremony that goes on for about two hours. During the ceremony many traditional religious events take place. As a photographer who also has photographed many Indian weddings I have to say that they are really fun and exciting.

This shot was taken on a wooden bridge which is located behind the main clubhouse. Because I shot this photo in the early afternoon I had to contend with some harsh lighting. By adding some fill flash to the bride and grooms faces I was able to even out the shadows. At this wedding I shot a wide variety of different photo styles. Some of the pictures like this one were posed action photos, others were casually posed and some were formal posed pictures.
