Broward County has some of the best wedding venues here in South Florida which is the reason I've been spending so much time shooting wedding here. This photo of a bride and groom lying on a reflective table was taken during a wedding at the Marriott Harbour Beach, or is it The Harbor Beach Marriott? I'm never sure.
Many of the my favorite places to photograph wedding are located right in Broward County for good reason. This county has fantastic beach locations that can accommodate all kinds of weddings and elopements at a wide range of prices. Sometimes I find my myself photographing a huge 250 person wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, (Broward County), and other times I'm working at a small Broward County Church or Temple. In addition to the beach properties there are also many wedding venues that are located in-land as well. Some of the more popular wedding venues in the area are, The Tower Club, Gallery of Amazing Things, The Bamboo Gallery, Signature Grand, and the Bonnet House. This list doesn't even include all the amazing beach hotels along Ocean Blvd.
In the photo here, I happened to be working at the Harbour Beach Marriott. During the reception I saw that beautiful sculpture and the table in front of it. The table was covered with glassware and silverware. However, I had an idea and that stuff had to go. Luckily the hotel staff, who knows me, saw I ideaI had and also thought it would be a cool shot. So we moved all the stuff from the table, and I got the bride and groom to strike a pose on the table. I think this shot came out nice.
I have to admit that I think the Harbour Beach Marriott is one of the nicest wedding hotels in Broward County and If I was planning my wedding, I would check it out. What I love most about this venue is that it sits directly on the beach and has plenty of creative places for taking photos. It's one of Broward Counties go to wedding venues.
