If you are looking for a Miami Wedding Photographer then you should check out this creative photo taken by Jeff Kolodny, We have been photographing weddings in Miami and South Florida for over 15 years. This romantic photo was taken at the Ritz Carlton South Beach inside the old Hotels beach bar. As a result of hurricane Erma the hotel was damaged and had to close for renovation. The hotel is supposed to reopen in late 2019. I'm sure the new Ritz Carlton, South Beach will be breathtaking.

If you are recently engaged and searching for a Miami Wedding photographer, I would love to have to opportunity to talk with you about photographing your wedding. I have been a wedding photographer for over 30 years and have photographed well over 1000 weddings and events. I'm not only experienced in wedding photography but I also have picked up some wedding planning skills along the way. It's impossible to be an experienced wedding photographer without knowing something about wedding planning. Over the years working at a photographer I have worked with many wedding and event planners. Some planners I have worked with are experienced in working with small intimate weddings and elopements, other are experts when it comes to planning large 300 plus person weddings.

Usually a wedding planner will consult with me regarding the wedding photography timeline and then incorporate my timeline into their main wedding timeline. If you would like some help choosing a wedding planner feel free to reach out to me. I'm very happy to help.

If you are not familiar with the South Florida wedding scene, here is some helpful info.

South Florida is one of the most popular wedding destinations for many reasons. Most of the Miami weddings I photograph are destination weddings. This is the case because often the parents or grandparents live here, but the bride and groom live in other cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Chicago or other places. Often a destination wedding is a way couples can save part of their wedding budget by having a smaller guest list. If the couple lives in another state it's more difficult to potential wedding guest to attend the wedding. Having fewer wedding guests means more of the budget is left for other things such as flowers, photography, and so on. In addition while the rest of the country is freezing in the winter months the climate in South Florida is fantastic.

Once the temperature drops in the north east, Miami and South Florida become the countries hot spot. As a Miami Wedding photographer, I'm busiest during the winter months. In addition to weddings South Florida is also popular for other special events such as Destination Bat / Bar Mitzvahs and corporate events.

In addition to Miami, there are other very popular South Florida towns which also have a huge wedding draw. Deciding to tie the knot in Southern Florida means you have to choice of planning your wedding in The Florida Keys, Coral Gables, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Palm Beach and many many other places.

Each South Florida town has it's own unique vibe. For example, Boca Raton is much more laid back than Miami, However, its very elegant and upscale, Boca Raton is also home to the famous Boca Raton Resort and Club, also known as the Pink Hotel, Have shot many weddings, Bar Mitzvahs and special event at the Boca Resort.

In addition to the Ritz Carlton, South Beach, Miami has a huge amount of other fantastic wedding venues. Here are a few links to some of my favorite Miami wedding venues.

The Fontainebleau Miami Beach is nothing short of awesome! This hotel is huge, It sits on a beautiful stretch of perfectly manicured Beach and has one of the most amazing pools in Miami Beach. I have photographed many weddings here. There is no shortage of photography places at this venue. Here is a link to one of my favorite Fontainebleau weddings.

In addition the The Villa is another beautiful wedding venue. The villa is smaller and caters to more intimate wedding. Under 150 guests is considered a large guest count for the Villa. The villa is actually the former home of Gianni Versace and it was at the front steps of this venue where the famous designer was killed.

I was recently hired by a couple looking for a Miami wedding photographer to photograph a wedding at the Eden Roc Hotel This is a very cool venue that also sits on the beach. The Eden Roc has several awesome ballroom and they range for historic to modern. The modern part of the hotel is located in another section of the venue. Here is a link to the blog post from my Eden Roc Wedding. Samantha and Amir's Wedding. I love this weddings beach ceremony site! Talk about toes in the sand. A beach wedding can't get any better than this.

Finally we can't forget The Palms. This is another beach hotel that offers either an on the beach ceremony or a ceremony on their magnificent beach. The beach at The Palms is huge! It's also picturesque and has a rocky area which is great to adding interest to the wedding photos. The Palms is a great hotel for a smaller wedding since it's ballroom are elegant and a bit on the smaller side. However they are still very nice and it's a great place for a Miami Wedding Photographer to work. Here are some links to a few photos I created at The Palms. A Palms Hotel Wedding.
