Miami Wedding

Miami Wedding Photo of a beautiful bride at Turnberry Resort.

I shot this Miami Wedding photo during the wedding reception at Turnberry Resort. Whenever I photograph a wedding most of the posed pictures of the bride and groom are taken during the day. I start with the getting ready photo and then move on to the "First Look" photos followed by the bride and groom photos, then on to family before the wedding ceremony starts. By the time the ceremony is finished usually all the bridal couple wants to do is party. I totally get that. I want the bride and groom to enjoy their wedding. A wedding is meant to be a meaningful event for the couple and their families. A Miami wedding is not a big never ending shoot for the photographer.

When you walk through a wedding venue and scout around for nice places to take photos everything is lit with daylight. Because of the day lighting a venue may have a certain look. However, once the sun goes down and the incandescent take over the same venue looks completely different. At a certain point during the wedding reception I often have my second photographer cover the reception while I take a walk around the grounds looking for more possible photo opportunities. When I find s great location I take some photos without the bride and groom and get my settings. Then I will head back to the reception to show the couple the photo spot I found. I show them the image in the back of the camera, and say something like, "I found this photo spot, all that is missing is you." At this point it's up the the couple to decide if they want to be in that photo or not. Since I already have my camera settings taking the photo becomes a quick process. I really don't want the couple to miss their wedding reception. I also don't want to have the bride and groom miss out on a photo opportunity. I'm never pushy, and it's always up to the bride and groom to decide.

Whenever I photograph a Miami Wedding I make sure I leave extra early so that I have plenty of time to scout out the location. I make it a point to imagine what the venue looks like at night. When walking around the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort and Spa I can't help but notice all the awesome places to take great photos. If you are planning a Miami wedding then JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort and Spa should be on you list of places to consider. The grounds are beautiful and the catering staff is always a pleasure to work with.
